Following a successful 2010 campaign in Melbourne, where 7 first places, 6 second places and 1 third place were achieved in troupes, Static Dance Studios  headed  to Melbourne for its  seveth  year running to compete in the 2011 Crown International Dance Championships.

On the 17th April, 140 people from SDS travelled to Melbourne to attend the Crown International Dance Championships at the Crown Casino. 65 students competed for the national titles in Hip Hop, Jazz, Ballet, Tap, Acrobats & Modern Expressive, along with all the troupes dances from Sub Junior Showgroup all the way up to Seniors.

Once again, all the students did extremely well. The amount of confidence that SDS students shown in participating in so many events was very overwhelming but also a proud moment for all parents and teachers. Congratulations to each and every single student who gave it a go! Its more then we can ever ask for!

A very big thank you once again to all parents to donated their time and effort in giving back to their children the opportunity in travelling down to Melbourne. A big shout out and thank you to Terry and Michelle for all your extra hours of organising newsletters and all of our fundraising.
