Laura Smith

Laura started her dance training at age 3 where she fell in love with the art of dance. Growing up she trained in all styles of dance as well as gymnastics, however she always had a passion for Classical Ballet.

Laura’s love for teaching kicked in during her teenage years when assisting in her home studio, which very quickly turned into teaching multiple classes a week while still at school. She loved to perform and continued to perform through her teenage and adult years however she knew she would prefer to peruse her passion for teaching dance and pass on her love and knowledge to future dancers.

Laura has attended various summer school programs through her dance training years.
She spent 2 years at Brent Street undergoing her Diploma in Dance Teaching Management.
Laura has her Registered Teachers Status with the Royal Academy of Dance and is also Acrobatic Arts accredited.

Some of Laura’s troupe and Solo choreographic work has taken out Titles at competitions such as Showcase, Dance Life Unite and Sydney Eisteddfod.

Laura’s hope to all her students is that she can provide an encouraging and positive learning environment for each student to reach their full potential and discover their love of dance.
